PURPOSE: Growing Children Scholarship was established in 2017 with the purpose of affording a
deserving student from Fort Mill High School and Nation Ford High School the opportunity to continue?his/her education in the field of education.
As a daughter, mother and community supporter, it is with an immense source of pride that my?company, the Miller Realty Group, presents the Growing Children Memorial Scholarship in memory of my?mom, Susana Marcela Zubieta.
Susana Zubieta began her teaching career as an elementary music instructor at The American Institute in?Cochabamba, Bolivia. There she discovered a passion for ensuring positive early childhood development.?During Susana?s thirty plus year commitment to children she started her own daycare center. She?founded ?Growing Children?, a successful small business, as a certified and recognized master educator?on raising and protecting children. Although her accomplishments and recognitions in the field of early?childhood training were many, she was especially proud of the Susan Hargrave Award for Trainer of the?Year as well as the Spanish Association ?Professional Childcare Providers ? Hispanic Association? which?she founded.
My mom lived a life-long passion for the education, protection and betterment of children, their families?and their futures. She dedicated her energy and time in educating and supporting others to do the?same. It is our hope that the recipient of this scholarship will share her passion, dedication and true love?of being an Early Childhood Educator.
