Welcome back! ?Last week I brought you “Realtors…A Day In The Life Of”, which was a great success and I’m glad more people were able to see the realness of realty (see what I did there??). ?What I realized, when thinking of this week’s blog, is that I needed a more general name that showcases all things, not just how I spend my day as a Realtor?.
So, without further ado…I bring you “The Real Side of Realty!”
This week I’m introducing you to my buyers Lynsie and Bray, who are building in the M/I Homes Community of Hawk’s Creek in Fort Mill, SC. ?They are a sweet couple, engaged to be married and building the home of their dreams!
We met through mutual friends (and neighbors!), who gave them my info to seek out Buyer Representation. ?As with many buyers of new construction, they didn’t know the benefits of having a Buyer’s Agent and it was my job to educate them. ?In late December we met to pick out lots and discuss structural options they’d like to see in their home. ?On December 31, 2015 we met Selena in the sales office and signed a purchase agreement. ?The bonus of choosing the last day of the year? ?M/I Homes was accepting great offers on to-be-builts and we took full advantage!
I’ve asked Lynsie and Bray to answer a few questions for me about their journey so far:
Q: What lead you to Hawk’s Creek and why did you ultimately decide on that neighborhood? ?”As the neighborhood started to develop, we could see all the styles of homes and we really liked some of the styles a
nd the prices were in our range. ?Plus, we had friends already living in the neighborhood who

had a great experience with building their home! ?We decided it was the neighborhood for us after looking at several model and inventory homes. ?We saw a lot of options we liked and were impressed with a lot of the options that were included when building the home.”
Q: ?Why did you decide to go with a Buyer’s Agent in your transaction??“We decided to go with a Buyer’s Agent after a recommendation from a friend and after reading your blog, which provided a lot of detail on why we should use one!”
Q: ?Can you describe your?experience with the design center?? “I think our experience

with the design center went very well! ?We did a lot of research prior to our appointments. ?We went to the design center website to see our options and then went and looked at as many inventory homes as possible to get an idea of what we liked and didn’t like throughout each home. ?Our agent at M/I
Homes was also very helpful, answering all of our questions when we asked about specifics in each home. ?The staff at the design center was also very helpful in the decision making process.”
Q: ?What do you most look forward to in building your own home? ?“I would say we look most forward to watching them build something we both designed together and then seeing the finished product! ?It’s been a great experience so far.”

You can follow Lynsie and Bray’s journey here as I check in with them periodically! ?If you would like to be featured in this blog as a buyer, please contact me at 803.616.3737!
