See The ASC Greenway Fiddle ‘n Pig Shindig

On September 9th, 2017, the Anne Springs Close Greenway held it?s 12 Annual barbecue and bluegrass festival, called the Fiddle ‘n Pig Shindig! It was a full day of music, craft beer and barbecue. Talk of the Town Carolinas interviewed ASC Greenway?s Director of Marketing Denise Cubbedge, Chair of the Board of Managers Jan Martin, and ASC Volunteer LeeAnne Fracona to find out more about the event and the Greenway.

The Anne Springs Close Greenway Fiddle ‘n Pig Shindig was held at the Dairy Barn entrance in the Comporium Amphitheatre. Patrons sat in lawn chairs or laid down on blankets to enjoy the day long activities. The ASC Greenway was officially dedicated to the public in 1995 and is 2,100 acre nature preserve in Fort Mill, South Carolina. The Greenway serves as a natural buffer from urban development and a place for countless activities ? from hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding, to picnics, kayaking and more. The land was donated by the children of Anne Springs Close to honor her lifelong commitment to recreation and the environment. The Greenway is a not-for-profit entity which receives no ongoing tax dollars to build, maintain or operate its programs, trails and facilities. Owned and managed by Leroy Springs & Company, the Greenway is funded in part by memberships, program fees and generous donations from individuals and corporations.

Ways to get involved or to support the ongoing operations of the Greenway are funded in part by events like the Fiddle ‘n Pig Shindig and Greenway Memberships, Recreation Complex Membership (includes Greenway privileges), and Friends of the Greenway Membership.
