Behind The Scenes, WRHI’s Toys For Happiness

In it?s 32nd year, WRHI?s Toys for Happiness is collecting toy donations for 2000 York County children. Talk of the Town Carolinas attended WRHI?s Palmetto Mornings live broadcast from the ?secret warehouse? to find out more about the Holiday Toy collection program and the Holiday Partners which are WRHI’s Toys for Happiness, the Herald’s Empty Stocking Fund, and the United Way of York County, SC. Interviews include WRHI?s Managing Partner Allan Miller, Untied Way of York County Rebecca Melton, And Head Elf volunteer Tom Anderson.

This combined program helps to provide local York County based children ( 2017 estimated at 2000) holiday toys ages birth to 14 years of age.? Holiday Partners depends on the generosity of the community either through financial or toy donations and/or through volunteering in the toy warehouse.? Although Applications to receive toy donations has already ended for 2017 but you can still be part of providing holiday magic to an underprivileged child in York County through your gift of time or treasure.
