Catawba Ridge High School will be the 3rd high school in the fast-growing Fort Mill School District. The District held a virtual tour event that allowed residents to experience a virtual tour of the new high school which is currently under construction. Talk of the Town Carolina host Patti Mercer interviewed Assistance Superintendent Tommy Schmolze and Catawba Ridge High School Principal Dee Christopher to find out more about the new high school.
The virtual tours of the new Catawba Ridge High School is?produced by the Oculus System, which allows viewers to walk around the school to get a true feel for the layout and design. Catawba Ridge High school is planned to open in August 2019. The new school?occupancy is 2,400 students. Dee Christopher who has been the principal of Fort Mill High School for the last 12 years was selected?as the new principal for Catawba Ride High School. Dee begins his job hiring new staff in July of 2019.
