The Foundation for Fort Mill Schools sponsored their first?inaugural ?Cookin’ 4 The Kids Chili Showdown to help raise money for programs that directly impact our students. The foundation helps fund student scholarships, grants for teachers and administrators and a district-wide free school supply store for students in need.

Talk of the Town covered the Fundraiser held Feb 27, 2016 at Fort Mill High School. 26 teams competed and raised money for the Foundation. Watch Talk of the Town interviews with Foundation Exec Dir Lynn Ringley, Dr. Chuck Epps FMSD Superintendent, Jason Johns NAFO HS Principal, and Michele Branning FMSD School Board Trustee.

Most Creative: FMSD Technology Dept: May the Spork be With You
People’s Choice:
First place: Allen Tate Fort Mill Office with their Sassy but Classy Chili
Second place: Tega Cay Elementary Titans with Titans Tex Mex Chili
Third place: Fort Mill Elementary School with Bringing the Sting Chili
