The Fort Mill BBQ Company opened in 2009, but recently the restaurant has made several improvements. Talk of the Town Carolinas visited the Fort Mill Barbecue Company Saturday night July 8th during one of their “Crusie In” Car show events to find out more about the restaurant and car events. The food was always good, now it’s even better!
Talk of the Town host Patti Mercer interviewed FM BBQ owner Bob Bowman to see how the restaurant has evolved. Bob says, Our attention to quality and our passion for our work paved the way towards making us one of the Carolina?s most sought after BBQ destinations. Their 2016 restaurant upfit now allows them to offer a large choice of craft beers to accompany our food in a friendly and comfortable dining environment. You can’t help notice the restaurant is decorated with “muscle car”parts.
Outside the restaurant, this night was a Saturday Night Special Cruise In. It’s Fort Mill BBQ Company’s seventh annual classic car cruise night season. They are held on the second Saturday of each month from April through October from 5 to 8 p.m. Each event night is filled with 100 or so classic cars, music and food ? and live entertainment during the season kickoff and finale.
Other Fort Mill BBQ improvements
1) Besides the all new Muscle Car Themed interior, there is now bar seating offering 14 local craft draft beers on tap including, growlers, flights.
2) FULL Service restaurant with handheld tablet “at the table” ordering technology (that’s right, NO MORE at the counter ordering or standing in those long lines).
3) Especially for the Saturday Night Special Cruise-Ins, AT THE CAR ordering & delivery of menu items so you can continually enjoy your fellow car enthusiast conversations without worrying about the food making it to you.
4) A recently heavily “Injected” restaurant menu keeping ALL the staple proteins in place along with some exciting new items like BBQ Nachos, Burritos & Tacos, more salad options, more burgers options, etc.
