Fort Mill Growth Expected To Be 50,000 More People

New Fort Mill growth statics show there could be 45,000 to 50,000 people working and living in the Fort Mill Township in the next 20 to 25 years. Talk of the Town Carolinas host Patti Mercer interviewed Fort Mill Economic Development Council Vice Chair Wink Rea to talk about planned development in downtown Fort Mill and the surrounding area.

In this Talk of the Town video, you will hear about changes to the 200 Block of Main Street in Downtown Fort Mill directly across from Hobo?s, where you will be able to find the new Amor Artis Brewery and the Improper Pig where the old Knife Shop, photographer?s studio, and comic store was located.

You will also hear about the redevelopment of the Old Centre Theatre building on Main Street, The expansion of Kingsley North from 1.5 million to 6 million square feet of commercial space, and the Southbridge commercial development where the old Knights stadium used to be.
