The Fort Mill School District finished construction of their new athletic complex and held a ribbon cutting ceremony on March 17, 2017. The District also announced the complex will be known as the Comporium Athletic Park, thanks to a multi-year sponsorship by Comporium.
The Comporium Athletic Park is located at the Fort Mill Bypass and Spratt Street intersection. The Comporium Athletic Park is slated to attract additional State, Regional, and National Tournaments that will in turn support the local economy.

The Comporium Athletic Park features four state-of-the-art, synthetic turf fields, which will accommodate heavy use of multiple sports, including soccer, lacrosse and football games. The full-service athletic park also includes a dedicated concession building and restrooms. This facility will be utilized by Fort Mill Schools, as well as the community for athletic events, and construction was made possible by joint funding from the school district and a grant from York County Hospitality Tax.
The Fort Mill School District has estimated that the facility will bring more than 75,000 tourists during its first three years of use. With access to dozens of nearby hotels and hundreds of restaurants, the park is expected to generate nearly $8.5 million in revenue for the local economy during that same time-period.
