What happened at the Fort Mill Fall Festival? Watch this Talk of the Town video to see kids trick or treating on Main Street October 31st, 2016. Local vendors handed out candy or gifts from 5 to 7 p.m.
There was a costume contest in front of the Fort Mill bandstand for ages 2-5, 6-9 and 10-12. This year?s judges were Raye Felder, Katie Henson and Mikayla Thomas. Patti Mercer interviewed Mayor Guynn Savage, Brown Simpson, Jr., Parks & Rec Director, Caroline Hasty and Mikayla Thomas both with the Town of Fort Mill Events & Media. See and hear what they had to say about this year?s Fall Fest.
Also, scarecrow contest awards were announced. Most Fort Mill Spirit went to Doby by Doby’s Bridge Elementary School, Most Creative went to BoQero – The Tin Scarecrow by Fort Mill Church of Nazarene, Best Craftsmanship went to Flossy Moose by Fort Mill Moose Club Most likable community scarecrow went to Somewhere Over The Scarecrow by Grandma’s Crow Crew, The Honorable Mention was BoQero – The Tin Scarecrow by Fort Mill Church of Nazarene. Most likable town department scarecrow went to Styk by Fort Mill Public Works and The Honorable Mention was Luke by Fort Mill Utilities.
