Improper Pig Now Open on Fort Mill’s Main Street

Fort Mill?s Main Street has a new restaurant. Talk of the Town Carolinas visited the new Improper Pig that opened Jan 1, 2019. Patti Mercer interviewed owner Will Bigham to find out more about the barbecue restaurant severing more than just barbecue and a little history about the building they renovated.

The Improper Pig, the 2nd location, is located in historic Fort Mill. The renovations took over a year and they preserved many of the original building finishes including the original hardwood floors and ceilings. One great surprise was a Pepsi-cola sign painted on the building?s brick wall behind a plaster wall.

The Improper Pig?s food concept is barbecue, but with a culinary twist on a variety of other food options and pairings. Some include the Improper Nachos, Chow Bao Sliders, The Improper Charcuterie, and vegetarian options such as smoked tofu, burgers or wood-grilled specialties like steaks and pork chops. They do everything from scratch. Will said ?We?re all about the love of food and the experience.
