This week?s Talk of the Town Carolinas has 2 stories in one video. The first part of the video features Pleasant Knoll Elementary school including more about their popular video called ?Have It All?. The 2nd half of the video, Patti talks with FMSD CCO Joe Burke with more information about the recent school enrollment freeze at 4 Fort Mill School District schools.
Pleasant Knoll Elementary school (PKES) opened 10 years ago and continues to be one of the excellent Fort Mill element schools. Patti Mercer interviewed Principal Chad Allen, Assistant Principal Savannah Steger, Administrative Assistant Principal Rachel Driver to find out more about the teachers, staff, parents,?and students. Before school was back in session, The teachers and staff created a welcome back video titled ?Have it All?. The video was a big hit on social media, the community, and local media.
The Fort Mill School District recently announced two more school enrollment freezes. Currently under an enrollment freeze are Banks Trail Middle School, Doby’s Bridge Elementary School, Gold Hill Elementary School, Tega Cay Elementary School. FMSD Chief Communications Officer Joe Burke explained, what the school enrollment freeze means in the State?s fastest-growing school district. New students who live in the Gold Hill Elementary School and Tega Cay Elementary School zones will now go to Pleasant Knoll Elementary.
The Fort Mill School District now has more than 16,000 students with a growth rate of over 1,000 new students per year. Watch this #TOTT video to learn more about the number one rated South Carolina School District.
