On March 18, 2017 Baxter Village held their 11th Annual Baxter Village Spring Festival & 10th Annual St. Patrick’s Parade. Patti Mercer interviewed Baxter Village Director of Activities Mike Martoccia to find out more about this year’s festival.
The year’s Baxter Village Spring Fling had more than 100+ Exhibitors and we interviewed Lisa Pinckney with Piedmont Medical Center to find out why they attend the festival. Mike estimated over 3,500 people attended the festival. We talked to folks attending the festival to see what they like about the Spring Festival and Baxter Village.
Baxter Village was created in 1998 by Clear Springs Development and was designed as a mixed-use development. The community has grown to over 1,400 homes and some 450,000 square feet of restaurants, shops, offices and civic spaces. Baxter Village is pedestrian-centric or golf cart style community, renowned for its miles of sidewalks and trails and over 500 acres of open space and parks.
Baxter Village was designed to keep everything you need close by your home like shops, restaurants, schools, library, medical facilities, fitness, and more. You’ll find rocking chair front porches, tree-lined streets, trails, classic homes and a shopping and eating area called Baxter Town Center. Established in northern York County, Baxter Village is the preferred go-to community for people who work in Charlotte.
