Tega Cay’s inclusive playground at Trailhead Park Opens Soon

Construction on an “all-inclusive” playground at Trailhead Park in Tega Cay will end soon with a forecasted ribbon-cutting event in February 2020. Talk of the Town Carolinas host Patti Mercer interviewed Tega Cay City Manager Charlie Funderburk and Parks & Rec Director Joey Blethen to learn more about this park renovation, unique design which is “all-inclusive” for anybody including people with disabilities, and the partnership with Allplaytogether.com.

The City of Tega Cay has teamed up with Allplaytogether.com to renovate Trailhead Park in Tega Cay with an all-inclusive playground that allows all ages and abilities to play and learn. Construction began last October and is nearing completion. We featured the fundraising efforts December 2018 in this video TEGA CAY WILL GET AN ALLPLAYTOGETHER PLAYGROUND.
