United Way of York County Hurricane Florence Recovery Fund

The United Way of York County has established a Hurricane Florence recovery fund to support the recovery and rebuilding efforts in the area affected by Florence. Talk of the Town host Patti Mercer interviewed United Way of York County President Rebecca Melton to talk about the recovery fund, using their 211 phone system for help, and the fall fundraising campaign and community survey.

The United Way of York County helps support many charitable programs in our local community. Two notable local agencies who receive support are the American Red Cross and the Salvation Army which are on the front lines of assisting people effected by Hurricane Florence. For over 75 years, United Way of York County has improved the lives of hundreds of thousands of your friends and neighbors. As the community has grown and changed, so has the organization. Not only are funds raised for local programs, they work with community partners to find long-term, strategic solutions to problems that send ripple effects across our region.
