Tega Cay Cay Fire dept had an open house on October 13th, 2019. Talk of the Town Carolinas host Patti Mercer chatted with the new Fire Chief Glyn Hasty to find out what changes are going on with the Tega Cay Fire Dept.
The Open House event was timed to be part of the National Fire Prevention Week at the newer Tega Cay Fire station 1 located at 1195 Stonecrest Blvd, Tega Cay, South Carolina. Scheduled for the event were fire safety games, Sparky the Fire Dog, fire safety education, and station tours. There was also demonstrations on rescue, extrication and patient care.
Glyn Hasty, a 29 year firefighter veteran, took over as Tega Cay’s Fire Chief position Mid-April 2019. Hasty has worked for the Charlotte Fire Department, also as battalion chief at Charlotte Douglas International Airport. Watch our video to find out more.
