You Must Hear Fort Mill’s CreSCendo Group Sing

Fort Mill has an acappella group called CreSCendo. Talk of the Town Carolinas visited one of their practice session to find out more about the group, the director and why they are the Talk of the Town.

The chorus teacher at Banks Trail Middle School, JoAnna Pearson attended a summer acappella camp and on her return started her own group in August 2018 made up of former students from Banks Trail Middle. The singers currently attend either FMHS or NaFo. They named the group creSCendo. The group has already been hired to perform locally and they have done several volunteer performances at local events.

The acappella group of 11 high school aged singers have been selected to be the opening act for DCappella which is a Disney professional Acappella group. The national tour concert is on Feb. 10 in North Charleston, SC. In addition, CreSCendo has been selected to go to the International A Cappella Convention in Milan, Italy in July 2020
