Volunteer slots for the third annual Servants With a Heart Packing event in Tega Cay have been filled, but event organizers Cynthia Hair, Emily Jaeckli, and Kim Bogert say you can still make a donation to this years event.
Servants with a Heart and packaging volunteers are making a difference by helping to produce pre packaged dehydrated meals for starving and malnourished children and their families.?The event grows larger each year, organizers say, and that is making a difference in the lives of families in Nicaragua as well as the York County area. Ten percent of the meals goes to local families. In the past two years, donations have been made to the Fort Mill Food Pantry and the Children?s Attention Home.
The third annual Servants With a Heart Packing event will be held ?at Tega Cay Elementary School. Teams will form food packing?assembly lines beginning at?noon to 4:45 p.m on Sunday March 8 2015.
