Tega Cay is rated the safest city in South Carolina by SafeWise. ?SafeWise, an online home security system review/selection resource, ranked the top 40 South Carolina safest cities using a recent FBI crime report. ?Their ranking methodology considered cities with a population 2,000 or more,?number of ?violent crimes, and property crimes. To rank the cities, they calculated the chance of these crimes happening out of 1,000.

Fort Mill was rank number 7 safest cities in South Carolina. Fort Mill’s crime score was ?2.25?Violent Crimes Per 1,000 and 20.12?Property Crimes Per 1,000. Alexis said, “We weren’t the least surprised to discover that BusinessWeek.com named Fort Mill as One of the Best Places to Raise Kids 2013.”
