2016?Mrs South Carolina International Dana Boutwell has made it her cause and passion to locally support the program called?Cookies for Kids Cancer.? For the last 3 years, Dana has organized two main events in Fort Mill and Tega Cay called “Paint the Town Gold” and a month long “Be A Good Cookie””30 Days For A Cure” fundraisers for September’s Kids Cancer Awareness month.
This year is no different. The gold bow fundraiser has kicked off in a big way. Fort Mill and Tega Cay communities are challenging one another to buy and display at least 1000 bows this year. Both the Town of Fort Mill and the City of Tega Cay will display gold bows on lamp posts in September. Watch this short minute video to learn more.
How can you get involved? Buy gold bows and display them on your mailbox now through the end of September.
Gold Bows are made by Buy the Bunch Florist in Fort Mill. You can also buy and pick up bows at the?Miller Realty Group offices in Tega Cay at?7675 Tega Cay Drive. Bows are $10 ($7 from each goes to Cookies for Kids Cancer).
